The uses for dried rose petals will have you intrigued, where you can do practically anything if you put your creativity into it. Let's find out how you can turn ordinary roses, into something quite useful...
The sight of a dark purple rose reminds one of glory, sophistication, and elegance. The color purple stands for majesty, luxury, and grandeur. Hence, these roses were noted as perfect gifts for kings and queens.
As most of you roses lovers know, the battle with those naughty insects that plan to suck the energy out of your roses continues from spring before the first buds open, until later on in the summer, when the flowers are in full bloom. Insecticide is the solution for summer pests such as thrips and spider mites but the Japanese beetles must be handpicked. Don't dream - as I did - that if you use pesticide once, it will do for the rest of the summer! Unfortunately, you'll have to repeat the spraying as often as you'll need to. I've also tried the homemade pesticide with water and soap but well... in my case it didn't really work that well, so I had to use some more aggressive chemical. You need to check your plant for disease and treat it the right way if the case.
Who doesn't love the smell of roses? Their earthy, deep fragrance echoes something you'd smell while standing amidst the trees in a rain forest. Its myriad of colors makes it even more of an attractive flower, blooming in colors of pink, white, yellow, lavender, red, blue and even black. We're constantly sending off roses to loved ones and those we know when an occasion or special event rolls in. But what happens to those roses when they shrivel up and die? No one ever really ponders about what more can be done with a rose, except toss it away at the first signs of its petals browning and drooping. Here we explore newfound ways on what can be done with roses, without having to toss them away when they start to wither.
