My church is getting ready to break ground for our new building in April. My new favorite preacher’s church is getting ready to expand their building. And I want to be involved in both, and yet can’t give more of my income since my husband doesn’t support the projects.
But I’ve had an idea. Several jewelry designs have been swimming around in my head and most involve religious symbols (fish, fish hook, cross, etc). What if I picked one of the designs for each of the building funds, and donated the profits of each? It’s true that I haven’t had much luck in selling my jewelry, but at the same time, I haven’t listed much of it either!
What about you? Do you have a favorite charity that you don’t have much money to spare for? March of Dimes, Heiffer International, etc? Is there anything that you could sell? Old clothes on eBay, or maybe your scrapbooking skills? Sometimes giving doesn’t have to hurt, and sometimes it’s a good hurt.
