Every time we go to Disney World, someone is breaking the rules. Disney has a strict no-smoking policy at the parks and resorts, except in designated smoking areas. A lot of people ignore this and light one up as they rush from line to line.

Luckily, I’ve not yet seen someone light up while actually on a ride or while in a show. But some of those rides and shows are pretty long (Ellen’s Energy Adventure is about 45 minutes- no joke).

CigRX is a mint flavored lozenge that they claim can help curb your cravings for a smoke. You pop it in your mouth, let it dissolve, and swallow. The active ingredients are Yerba Mate extract (their science page emphasizes that there’s caffeine in Yerba Mate, which is true, but there’s much less caffeine in Mate than there is even in green tea, so I don’t know if this is their selling point or not), and anatabine, which is apparently one of the less addictive feel-good substances found in most cigarettes. According to their site, anatabine is also found in peppers, eggplant, and green tomatoes. It seems as though they’re saying that you could drink coffee and eat fried green tomatoes and curb your appetite for smoking, but that sucking on a lozenge is more convenient.

No other ingredients are listed on their site, and I was unable to find any mention of cigrx side effects. But, if you’re in the middle of Spaceship Earth (about 17 minutes), popping a mint flavored lozenge is certainly more acceptable than lighting one up- or chewing on an eggplant, for that matter.

I don’t know about you, but I shop mostly online. True, hubs makes me go with him to regular brick and mortar stores and I often pick things up then- but when left to my own devices, it’s pretty much all online.

I used to check out all those online coupon sites (you know the ones, they end in “bug” “mountain” and a bunch of other words that are totally unrelated to coupons or savings) until I realized that they almost never had the stores or items that I wanted, and that I was wasting a lot of time trying to find an appropriate coupon code. So, I just stopped.

But then, I found out about www.savings.com. Savings.com is awesome because, unlike the other coupon sites that I’ve visited, it’s actually easy to navigate. You can search by store, by item, by tags, or alphabetically, plus browsing.

I checked out all my usual haunts- Kmart, Amazon, eBay, Barnes & Nobel. All had coupons. Even Etsy had coupon codes (though those are seller specific, not site wide)! I checked Walmart too, for those of you who aren’t anti-W-Mart, and there are coupons for them too.

Then I checked “toaster oven” (just ordered one from Amazon- should have waited, could have used an Amazon code)- not so good, one result for a brand I’m not familiar with. Then I tried immersion blender- found a $10 off coupon for a Cuisinart Smart Stick. Not too shabby, though it was still cheaper on Amazon than it was in the store that offered the coupon, but Amazon has coupons too.

So will I use Savings.com in the future? Well, I’ll probably forget, but I think I’ll be suggesting it to my friends who sell on Etsy.

There are some really hard ways to earn money, and there are some really easy ways to earn money. As for me, the easiest money I ever made was a particular niche site that I set up a while back. I’d missed out on an opportunity to buy a website that fits into my area of interest, and so slightly tailored the niche to be even more suitable for me. It took me about an hour to set up, and another hour or so to get all the content up and running… And guess what? It still earns me money!

I’ve made money easily a few other ways, but now I’ve found another method that I would so love to do if I had a smart phone. It’s called WeReward, and it’s a phone app available on iPhones and Androids, and should be available for BlackBerry soon. Basically, there are a lot of companies that have partnered with WeReward to do mobile marketing, and what happens is that different companies have different requirements. It’s a little like FourSquare, but instead of checking in, you take a picture of yourself with a product or in a particular establishment, send it in for approval, and earn points. You trade points in for actual money. Tons of companies are using WeRewards, like Tropical Smoothie Cafe and Jones Soda. It’s a quick and convenient way to earn cash if you’re the type that’s always going out for snacks or dinner or enjoy shopping and so on. The only thing that I’m not really keen on is that users are referred to as “oinkers”. I get the whole reference to a piggy bank thing, but really? They couldn’t find a more flattering term?

I’ve been involved in affiliate marketing/internet marketing for a long time, and I’ve been doing relatively well. For the most part, it has completely supplanted the kind of blog marketing blog marketing that I’m doing here lately.

Internet marketing income is not always steady, and the ebb and flow of income can be a serious cause of stress for those in the lower income brackets. Blog marketing can fill in nicely, especially on a personal blog like this, where affiliate marketing is more or less useless.

I’ve tried a number of other companies, and while there is one that I do like for the steady (though low) earning and lack of effort on my part (installing a plugin), the best pay that I’ve ever gotten is from Izea.

When Izea bought out PayPerPost, I wasn’t thrilled. Really, the compensation seemed lower and I couldn’t just hop into the marketplace and take an op when I needed the extra money. Now I have to wait for someone to contact me first. This didn’t make me happy for a long time, but now that I’ve been involved for quite some time, my tune has changed.

With the new set up, I can say what price is fair for my time, and only offers that match my wants will come to me. Directly to my email inbox, so I don’t even have to log into their site any more, unless I get a good offer.

Is this form of social media marketing for every one and every blog? Of course not. But for me, I’ll be keeping my membership live for a little while longer. Just keep the good offers coming!

Every two years I get a new cell phone. And every two years, my old cell phone gets stuffed into a drawer, “just in case” I need something on it, and then dies a slow death in the darkness.

Recently, I’ve been looking at selling off unwanted DVDs and CDs, and have found a handful of decent sites. But something that I hadn’t considered was how to sell my old cell phone- until now.

SellMyMobile.com is a UK based company that offers comparison prices for companies that want to buy your old cell phone- and they’re expanding to the US with SellCell.com.

If you want to sell cell phone, it’s really easy. Just go to their home page, and either type in your cell phone model into the search box, or browse through their “search all phones” tab. The website will automatically display offers from any companies that want to buy your cell phone. For example, my current enV3 got an offer of $36 with a free shipping box sent to me for sending my phone in, or another company was offering $55 plus free shipping (but no shipping box). My old Krzr on the other hand, only had one offer for $11.

So, for a few minutes work, I could be sitting on $66 which would certainly help the old holiday bills a bit.

SellCell doesn’t actually buy the phones themselves, however, so your actual selling experience will vary depending on which company you choose to work with. There’s certainly no harm in checking out what you can get for selling your old cell phone!

Have I ever considered dating online? Ummm… yes. Have I ever dated online? Ummm… can you define it?

Believe it or not, my first boyfriend ever was someone that I met online. I was planning a trip to Scotland and decided to try to find people who lived near where I was visiting so that I could meet people more easily. One of them decided that I should be his girlfriend and he eventually convinced me, too.

Now, I met him through ICQ (does that even exist any more?) and not through online personals, but to be honest, I used to trawl through the freebie dating sites just for fun.

I met a lot of really great guys online. Some of them flirted with me, one I very nearly dated, and a few became good friends. But aside from my first boyfriend I never dated any of them. Not that it was because I wouldn’t consider the idea- on the contrary! I simply had very low self esteem and unless a guy blatantly chased me down, I assumed he wasn’t interested. To be honest, even when they did blatantly chase me down I often assumed they were joking…

Now, my husband on the other hand? I didn’t meet online. I met him at work, where he had 8 hours a day to try to woo me. I guess it worked, as we’re celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.

I discuss my internet marketing projects with my office-mate at work, and have actually got him hooked on a few IM bloggers for their entertainment value (sadly, both have given up their wild and wacky ways- but there’s a lovely video trail left which is ideal for settling back with a bowl of popcorn).

Today we got to talking about beer (long story short- I found some awesome recipes for beer bread) which lead into my blathering on about the two beer review vloggers that I know which lead to internet marketing, and so on. Both beer review vloggers live just outside of Chicago. Both are internet marketers…

And then you add in the web designer/internet marketer that I referred him to for his side business’ website… who lives in Chicago.

I tallied them up. How come so many of my internet marketing friends live in or near Chicago? And how come they all drink beer? And then I realized- Obama = Chicago. One of Obama’s most effective campaigns for the presidential election was via Twitter. Obama’s an internet marketer! (And he outsources just like the best of us). This whole thing filters down straight from the top!

So, if I want to be successful at this, does that mean that I have to move to Chicago and drink beer? I can think of worse things.

Even though the housing market seems to have begun its upswing, many families are still facing foreclosure. The American Residential Law Group is a group of experienced lawyers in the residential law field who can help you avoid foreclosure by negotiating with the mortgage lender. Foreclosure is as bad for the lender as it is for the owner, yet without someone experienced in this area to negotiate with the lender, it may be the only option.

American Residential Law Group (ARLG) is based in south Florida and may be the answer to your needs. Their areas of specialty are:

    * Bankruptcy
* Foreclosure
* Mortgage Litigation
* Short Sale
* Forensic Loan Audit

I remember the first time I went to a rodeo. It was at the Pennsylvania Farm Show, and I believe all the riders were teens and maybe early 20′s. I was in love. After all, what girl doesn’t love horses and what girl doesn’t harbor romantic fantasies about cowboys?

It does seem to be genetic, though. My mother is from Oklahoma, and her father was a professional rodeo rider nick-named Slim. I’ve actually seen a newspaper clipping of him (he died when mom was pretty young, so I’ve obviously never met him) and he was a hottie! Lethal combination that- a hottie on a horse.

On top of that, whenever we’d go out to visit Grandma and Paw-paw (mom’s step-dad), they’d always have the rodeo playing on the TV, even if they weren’t watching it!

Ever since seeing that rodeo at the Pa State Fair, I’ve wanted to attend a real rodeo, and what’s coming up now is the National Finals Rodeo. Now THAT I’d like to see! Sadly, the finals is in Nevada, and of course I’m not flying out just to see the rodeo. But for those who can go, I’d love it if you’d tell me about it afterwards! The NFR Ticketsare pretty pricey, though, starting at about $98, but you can at least check the standings, results, and schedules on their official website.

It’s funny, I never seem to like ladies watches, and I don’t give watches out as gifts. The ones that I want are always too expensive, and I tend to forget to put them on. And yet… I can’t help but drool over certain watches. For instance, I found this sweet Citizen Eco Drive watch. It’s a man’s, but it can change, if it has to, I guess. (If you don’t recognize that line then you obviously don’t appreciate great Canadian humor).

Citizen AT0563-01X Men’s Gold Tone Eco-Drive Brown Dial Chronograph Strap

To be honest, I don’t know how I got that pic to show up, but apparently WordPress is making it super easy to insert pictures, because I didn’t try that! Beautiful though, isn’t it? And the coolest thing about these watches is that they don’t use regular batteries and they don’t need to be wound. The battery that they use absorbs sunlight and indoor light through the crystal and dial of the watch, and that’s what powers it. For five years. Talk about maintenance free!

This watch runs about $200. So, who’s gonna buy me one?
