I couldn’t sleep last night. At first it was just a few post ideas for the techy affiliate site I’m building. That was about 45 minutes.
And then I was hit by the need to remake BandVox. Remember my music review site? I’ve been letting it languish for months while I worked on things that actually produced profit for me. I’d originally built it as a website because I didn’t like how blogs archive, layouts, etc.
However, since I’ve been working on my new blogs/sites, I’ve discovered that it’s not blogs that I didn’t like for layout. It’s blogger I didn’t like. Sure, great for regular posting, but not so great for catching search engine traffic. I like WordPress.
So I’ve decided that even though it’ll take a bit of work, I’m going to transfer my content over to WordPress, keep the domain, but stop paying GoDaddy stupid fees for website tonight and hosting. I might not get a refund since I paid ahead, but at least I’ll have complete control for the future. And I’ve got big plans…
Besides, as it stands I only have two regular readers. All the rest is search traffic, and most of that are searches for specific lyrics. I’m just worried about getting hit for duplicat content since the switch will change the individual URLs.
Now, if I could only catch up on the sleep.
