Subject: Wrong referral?

Dear Sir/Ma&#039;am,

In November I signed up with your web hosting services after being referred by a writer friend&#039;s website. When I asked her if she&#039;d received her commission for the referral I was told she did not and that another site had gotten the credit for it. Now I am wondering how is that possible? This is the exact link I clicked to get to your website. http://secure.hostgator.com/cgi-bin/affiliates/clickthru.cgi?id=wordvixen This is the web post of hers that I came from that describes your hosting services. http://wordvixen.com/2008/08/05/internet-services/

This referrer went above and beyond what she really needed to when she referred me to your website. When I asked her questions about packages she was very honest and told me the exact package she has from your company and what she liked about it. She gave me pricing information (something I could have found through your website) and details of the packages. She even answered questions I had about hosting a website. So now I am wondering why did she not get her well earned commission when I clicked on her referral link? I did not exit out of her page and go anywhere else. I clicked on the referral link above and signed up for your web hosting service from there. And I had never even heard of your web hosting service until she had told me about it. So could you please tell me how it is possible that another site got her commission instead?

I&#039;m not even sure how much a referral gets per a sale, but I do know one thing, many of the writing friends I have met online are all work-at-home moms. We work at home because childcare is expensive and because with the economy&#039;s downfall we need the extra money. So even if it&#039;s a dollar or two every little bit counts. It all adds up to feed our families each and every week.

I myself signed up with your affiliate service not to long ago. But now I am wondering if someone clicks on my link will it go to some other website that will get paid instead?

In closing I really enjoy your web hosting services. I enjoy the fact that there is no contract so I don&#039;t need to worry about changing plans, etc. But it was all thanks to Word Vixen, no one else. http://secure.hostgator.com/cgi-bin/affiliates/clickthru.cgi?id=wordvixen So I would really like to see this matter solved as soon as possible and the credit to go to Word Vixen since she is the one responsible for this sale. I look forward to working with you on this.

Thank You,
Joy Smith</description>
