Hahahaha! Love it! I used to have a neighbor who had sex ALL the time. Very loud sex. I could hear all his kinky little nuances, too.

Then in Hell's Kitchen I had a neighbor who was abusing his girlfriend at all hours of the night. I called the cops more times than I can even count anymore and eventually my (other) neighbors told me they stopped trying to help her long ago because just always goes back to him. So sad.

Poor birdie, though...I hope he didn't get shot. I haven't had to deal with a loud bird in the city, yet. However, my "neighbors" tend to be cockroaches and mice. I'll take the bird any day!

Lori- Believe it or not, we tried that! Of course, we could only do it in the bedroom (no fans on the side of the house where we tried to, oh, concentrate) and it did help, but not totally! In fact, we had the fan AND ht humidifier going!

Wow- your neighbors sound a lot like our old ones! We reported them to the landlord several times and a few times we came home to see cop cars parked along our house (which we figured out was for them). Eventually they stopped being noisy, and now we know that it's because they moved out. :-) Best of luck to you with your birds.

Jersey- *lol* We talked about it! I spent a lot of time on real estate sites during that period...

Easy solution for everyone, including the bird: turn on a fan. The fan will drown out the bird and the bird gets to live. Maybe the bird's trying to tell your neighbor to stop smoking around his nest? LOL

I have a teen-aged version of that bird. They have pool parties Friday and Saturday night until 2 or 3. Worse, they invite girls and boys. Boys preening for girls equates into loud shouts. Girls preening for boys equates into ear-piercing shrieks. Their pool? Faces our bedroom window. I went to the other side of the house (two bedrooms away and could STILL hear the little shits. I use the fan now. But if that doesn't work, I'll us 9-1-1. There are limits to what we have to tolerate.
