You guys all know that my husband and I try to go to Walt Disney World every year, or close to. We always end up staying in a Disney resort, but it’s a rare vacation that we don’t at least discuss getting a vacation rental.

Since the closest city to Walt Disney World is Kissimmee, we usually do a search for Kissimmee area vacation rentals. There are some gorgeous vacation homes in that area, but they’re still a bit of a drive from the parks, and while you gain a lot of privacy, you lose a lot of perks.

However, this year we can’t afford a trip to Disney. We’ve decided that we’d like to do something different and closer to home rather than bypass a vacation altogether, so we’re actually looking at visiting New England, or getting a Jim Thorpe vacation rental here in PA. Hubs loves the mansion there, and I like the creepy small town atmosphere.

  1. You may be surprised that you can afford to visit one of the pricey resorts your family has vacationed at in the past from Lake Tahoe to Disneyland to the Caribbean, thanks to all the discount codes, coupons and free extra night stay being offered right there where you sit assuming you are reading this on your computer. Online trips are easy to plan using the internet. Likewise, deals and discounts for your trip are just as easy to find. Here is the key to finding the perfect deal for your next trip. Using your browser, type in the words “trip deals” and faster than a blink of an eye you will be provided with companies that have the rack rates on just about everything you need to get to your destination within budget.

Most of us use the internet to find the best trip deals, and the economy hasn’t changed that. It’s easy and fast to plan and pay for vacations online – if you know where to look. Google a search using “trip deals” and you’ll see all the companies that are providing great rates, discounts, coupons, extra nights for free…you name it, you’ll find it! All of the great destinations are available.

  2. Mike- I only stay actually ON Walt Disney World property in hotels owned by Disney (when visiting Disney, that is- I love the Omni in Philadelphia), but this is certainly good information for anyone who just likes a good hotel and savings. Thanks for the info!
