Right now, my husband and I suffer at the hands of Comcast Cable and Verizon phone service. We’ve discussed switching to satellite tv or DirecTV, but we’d still be stuck with Comcast for the internet as Verizon doesn’t deem us worthy enough to offer DSL in our area (despite the fact that my inlaws who live just over 1/2 mile a way have it).

However, should Verizon ever deem us worthy, we may find that a website such as Kaptain Satellite would be useful for comparing Directv vs. Dish. We’re not in the area, but if you are, you might want to check them out for Directtv in Rhode Island for the best prices around.
