So, Normal Joe’s sponsor for today’s post on his wealth creation blog was pickles. And it made me hungry for pickles.

Thing is, the only pickles we have in the house are those sandwich stackers, right? And they’re just not the same. So I decided to make a grilled cheese and pickle sandwich for breakfast. And then I remembered that I had crumbled bacon for my salads….

So I thought “What a great opportunity to practice my video editing skillz!”. What I really should have thought is “What a great opportunity to practice my filming skillz!” But I didn’t.

So, even though I had the tripod attached to my Flip, I still held it by hand and gave you guys plenty of time to study my husband’s egg pan instead of the pan I was actually using. Aren’t I just so thoughtful?

  1. Before even pushing play, there are 3 things I’ve concluded:

    1. You somehow snuck into my house,

    2. You have my pan,

    3. And you used my stove!

I also have a white gas stove with the square burner and that pan. :-D I’m sure others do too, but it just amused me how it’s like looking at my own stove rather than yours. :-)

  2. LOL@ watching someone make a sandwich and referring to it as a “sammich” several times as they’re making it. Hearing it out loud in a “tutorial” cracks me up. I think everyone should make their own “how-to sammich” video!

    Cheers!

Hmmm.. we live in a rental. Are you a part of the apartment complex? We should get together for coffee!

Jay- I had to, man, it’s for the Sammich Man! *lol* I call ‘em “sammiches” more often now, just because of Joe.

  4. I have never seen a pickle sammich before. That is wild. Thanks for sharing.

Joe has changed a lot of people’s vocabulary. It sounds funny when I hear someone say sandwich.

  12. CJ- I reheated it last night, and it was good! Those bacon bits make aaaall the difference.

And as for the avatar, if you’re not signed in with gravatar.com, it’ll assign you an avatar. They’re funky, aren’t they?

  13. Not bad!!!! :D

  14. Thanks! Totally love my Flip- it does almost everything for you!

  15. Okay – first things first. Apparently, when you change something in your feed reader, if you don’t click “save”, it doesn’t save. Go figure.

I seriously thought you hadn’t posted for weeks, and here I find you’ve been busy. Sorry!

I hope the sandwich was good!

  16. Bwahahaha! Well, I’m glad you decided to investigate! And if it helps, I’m still just an occasional poster. Urg. I’ve been neglecting my “pro” sites as well, though. Yet page views haven’t dropped off. Odd.

Mmmm. Sammich was good! Of course the bread was a bit soggy after being reheated, but most definitely something to be made again. And have you ever noticed? Rye bread and pickles were born for each other.

  17. Whatup Word… nice site and this is my first time visiting.. i came over from Elijah’s place and when i saw the sammich post on yours and Joe’s site, ya’ll ’bout to make me make a sammich video! hahahah

Anybody ready for a Mayo(heavy on the mayo), peanut butter, bolognY and cheese? Can you say YUM? Specially when the mayo squirts out the side when you take a bite of that sammich! ha

  18. Jake- Heya! I recognize you from ‘Lijah’s site!

OK, that’s just weird that you bring up that sammich. I was eating a peanut butter pickle sammich at work, and one of my coworkers started telling me how much he likes… Lemme think… I think it was ham, egg, and peanut butter? Seriously.

    Mmmm. Mayo. Mayo nummy.
