Yes, I totally have issues. And why did I love that stupid cartoon so much?

Anyway. I haven’t been writing much, aside from Squidoo and the occasional post on TheNicher.Com. I’ve been feeling completely unmotivated again since I met my last deadline.

I am, however, still fully intending to go through with NaNoWriMo. I’m not sure yet what I’m going to write about, but I’m pretty sure that it will involve Rabbitania, and possibly I. R. Baboon.

I’m going to be posting my entries on a special blog that I’ve set up ( http://wordvixen.com/NaNoWriMo and it’s very important to capitalize those letters, though I’m not sure why. I may have to set up a page in lowercase and redirect.). That way, masochists can follow along as I write and trolls can leave comments!

I actually stole the idea from David Nial Wilson, who will be writing The Ledger during NaNoWriMo.

I do have a NaNo account set up from last year, and I’ll be using it this year a bit more than I did last. I’ll also have a fiendish contest set up a little closer to the end of October specifically for NaNo participants. (I know, I know, enough with the contests already!)

Now, I’m off to jot down special foods and supplements I need. I just read You Are What You Eat by Dr Gillian McKeith straight through, and now I’m reading it again and taking notes.

Night all!

Have you heard about the FDA Globalization Act of 2008? It was designed to protect us from contaminated foods and such, but has broadened to include the cosmetics industry.

That’s a good thing, right? Well, not really. If this Act passes, every company, no matter how small, will be subject to huge registration fees (at minimum, $2000 a year, with a maximum of $12,000) and reams of paperwork for every change, no matter how small.

So, to spread the word about this, I’m giving away a tube of vegan lip balm and a bar of vegan soap from my favorite hand crafted soap maker. Please visit that link to see contest details.

You’ll want to hurry, though, as the contest ends October 1st!

A few days ago, I built a Squidoo lens for my favorite natural (so far, they’re all vegan) skin care products.

As I was compiling the information, I found out about the FDA Globalization Act of 2008. This Act could put most or all small and micro cosmetics businesses out of business by charging exorbitant registration fees ($2000 yearly minimum, up to $12,000) and forcing loads of paperwork to be filled out for every change made to each product no matter how small.

In order to spread the word about this legislation, I’m hosting a contest on my lens for vegan skin care products, the prize of which is 1 tube of vegan lip balm, and a bar of vegan soap from my favorite supplier. The deadline is October 1st, so head on over and check out the rules!
