The lovely and talented (and I’m not just buttering her up because she’s feeding me Saturday!) CJ Darlington tagged me for a book meme. And since I’ve been MIA and so not up to writing a proper post right now, I thought it was the perfect subject for me.
Not to mention that it’s a pretty cool idea.
Two of CJ’s favorite bloggers decided to start a meme, where they each listed 5 Must Read Books, 5 Keep Your Eyes On These Books, and 5 Books To Look For Soon. You might think this is a tough call to limit yourself to 15 books, but wait! it gets harder.
The meme victi… volunteer, has to remove one book from each list, and then add 1 book (of his or her choice) to each list.
Now, the two ladies who started the meme as well as CJ limited the books to Christian fiction, however, I the rules don’t state that it has to stay that way. My added books are in italics.
My five MUST Reads:
Auralia’s Colors by Jeffrey Overstreet (WaterBrook)
The Stones Cry Out by Sibella Giorello (Revell)
Demon: a Memoir by Tosca Lee (NavPress)*
Broken Angel by Sigmund Brouwer (WaterBrook)
Beyond the Reflection’s Edge by Bryan Davis (Zondervan)
My five Keep Your Eyes On These:
The Accidental Demon Slayer by Angie Fox (Love Spell)
Feeling for Bones by Bethany Pierce (Moody)
Scarlet by Stephen Lawhead (Thomas Nelson)
DragonLight by Donita K. Paul (WaterBrook Press)*
The Legend of the FireFish by George Bryan Polivka (Harvest House)
FIVE BOOKS TO LOOK FOR SOON:
Cyndere’s Midnight by Jeffrey Overstreet (WaterBrook)
The Rivers Run Dry by Sibella Giorello (Thomas Nelson)
Shade by John Olson (B&H)
Field of Blood by Eric Wilson (Thomas Nelson)
Conspiracy in Kiev by Noel Hynd (Zondervan)
And look! I didn’t use a single affiliate link! Aren’t you so proud of me? (actually, I think I’m just burning out on site building, but take it while you can!)
Now, I’m supposed to tag 5 people, but I won’t. You guys are all bookworms, so I know you’ll do it if you want to whether I tell you to or not. So have at it!

Hi….
Thanks for mentioning my next book. Hope you like it when you get to it….

Thanks for playing! I knew you’d have fun with it.
I’ve heard a lot about The Stones Cry Out. Must rent out from library…
Noel- You’re welcome, though I should point out that it was originally posted by the original MeMe.
CJ- I think it’s a great idea! I’m hoping some of my blogging buddies will take it and run, or start their own lists.
Inez- I mostly read Fantasy and Chick-Lit, so it’s actually unfamiliar to me. But please let me know if it’s good (then I’ll beg CJ for a copy).
It is good! Especially for anyone scared to read Christian fiction. It’s not preachy at all. Sibella was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for her newspaper reporting, and her word skills are evident in this book.
so now *I* am giving away books, in preparation for my move to Boston. (copycat what?)
You should stop by and see if there’s anything you want.
Fantastic idea – I will try to do this soon because it seems like fun.
Jersey- I thought it was pretty cool. Let me know when it’s up!
