No, that’s not a typo. I’m talking about my towering peaks of books!

That’s just a start of what I’m planning to give away. The mailing center is acceptable, and so I plan to get started soon. In fact, this weekend, I’m heading out to buy up some shipping supplies. Boxes, envelopes, that sort of thing. I think we still have packing tape, but maybe I’ll pick some more up just to be sure.

Take a good look at those piles, cuz in them are 18 separate give aways. Most are bundled with similar books, a few are singles. And there’ll be another series once I’ve read the third book. And another Nora Roberts once I’ve finished reading that. And…. You get the idea.

I’m planning to do this every other week until they’re all gone, but don’t hold me to that. I’m nothing if not a procrastinator. :)

Now, I must find out where my friends get those wonderful boxes they ship books to me in. They’re so cool! Like a long piece of cardboard that just wraps around. Amazon uses them sometimes as well.

Yes. I just referred to shipping materials as cool. Perhaps I should ask Travis for a job reference?

  1. Just an FYI…you can request free boxes and envelopes from your local Post Office and online at USPS.com

They have a ton of available sizes, they even ship them to you free if you can’t make it to the post office. Also (last I checked) you can arrange for your mail person to pick up the packages you want mailed right from your house if it’s inconvenient for you to get to the post office. Again, this is a free service.

Can’t wait for the book giveaway!

You’re in trouble if I’m your reference. By the way we booked our Disney trip this week. We arrive Dec. 25th.

Lisa- Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, the only boxes and envelopes I can get sent free are priority and express. I may do that for Ebay since when I used to sell and used only priority, I always got positive feedback for fast shipping. :) But since these are all books, I’m thinking media mail will be a better option for me. Plus, the pick up is only free if they’re picking up when they normally drop off. I’m at work when they arrive, and it costs $15 (almost) to schedule a pick up on my time.

Travis- I’m in trouble anyway. :) Congrats! I would love to spend Christmas at Disney, but hubby says not until we have kids to take with us. Right now, he’s campaigning for Halloween.

We wanted Halloween since that is my oldest’s b-day but my wife couldn’t get off then.

Aw. That’s a shame, but going at Christmas is going to be awesome too. Are you going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party? DH and I took the in-laws, and it was awesome! But that was earlier in December, and it’ll probably be a lot more crowded at Christmas.
