I’ve finally joined the ranks of those tweeting their news in 140 characters or less. The problem is, now that I’ve joined- I can’t find anyone who’s announced their twitter IDs!

I did manage to find DebNG (I think I joined just after she did), Dana/Marley, Kohuether, Shoemoney, and a very nice lady from the WAHM boards that I don’t actually know (TX Writer).

I know some of you are on twitter- I just can’t find you! So, if you’re there, please add me http://twitter.com/wordvixen , or send me your Twitter ID so that I can follow you! Thank you.

On another… note. I’ve been listening to classical music for two weeks. It helps me to not kill people. But today I was grabbed by the need to listen to woodwinds- so I did a search on my station provider for “woodwind”. Only a handful of stations came up, and I picked the only one that looked promising. It’s mostly bassoon.

While it suited my needs this morning (need mellow- quiet, not really music music), some of the “music” sounds like farting. I’m serious. I just listened to 5 minutes of what sounds like a college guy’s good night out. I’m simply amused by that, and it’s more than 140 characters. So I posted here.

Remember how I talked about Kashi pizzas and frozen entrees? Well, I finally wrote up product reviews on all of them and they’re now published on Associated Content.

So, if you’d like to see my take on them, click the links to see the reviews.

Amy’s Black Bean Enchilada

Kashi’s Frozen Pizzas

Kashi’s Frozen Entrees

Smart Ones Thai Style Chicken & Rice Noodles

Tandoor Chef Frozen Entrees

I have to warn you, towards the end I started getting bored and a little bit slap dash.

Between the discussion over at Pub Rants about book trailers, and my watching Family Guy almost every night for a week got me thinking.

If I could afford a television commercial for my book when it’s published, how would I like to have it done? I didn’t have to think very long. I’d pay Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim people to do it.

I imagine it would go something like this:

Black screen, white text just like the Adult Swim commercials.

New book.

Buy it.

*insert title here*

*3 or 4 screen shots of totally unrelated anime*

No anime actually in the book.

Read it anyway. It has words.

*release date*

Of course, I’d give them a bit more leeway than that. And it would have to be something cheeky, rather than my current WIP. But I always felt that the Adult Swim commercials were the most effective, simplest, probably cheapest, and most attention grabbing.

So, if you were going to make a commercial for any book that you’ve either written or plan to write, what would it be?

(I’m not talking about YouTube trailers here- I mean real television commercials)
