Yesterday I was doing a whole batch of paid posts- mostly on my chatting blog. Naturally I needed some posts to stick in between the paid posts, so I was grabbing anything that came to mind.
Wouldn’t you know that hubby started ranting and raving about Joe Gibbs? He even asked me to write a post for him. So I did. Holy cow! I’ve never received so many hits on that blog before. Ever! I’ve rarely had that many hits on this blog, and this is my main one. It’s making me wish that hubby was a blogger or that I was a sports fan, because I’m telling you, if one of us was the other, we’d be making serious blog cash.
I feel sort of bad for the people who hit on my post wanting a good, well thought out rant. Unfortunately, I don’t know a thing about sports. Really. Sports is “ick” to me. But now I’m seriously wishing I found sports in the least bit interesting since that surely gets the hits.
Makes sense I guess. People who are into sports tend to get seriously wound up over their chosen sport or team. So they would seek out like minded individuals, or more information, or both. I mean, look what happened to poor Deb NG when she posted a tongue in cheek list of why she didn’t like a particular sport (I shall not mention it here lest it fuel the flames).
Sports = hits. So maybe I should get hubby to start guest posting.

Bet you’d get a lot of hits if you covered The 2008 Armwrestling World Championship to be held in Canada:)
I dunno… Maybe that should be the subject of your blog. You need to start one you know.
Being in Washington, I have all resigned myself to the fact the team will lose because of miserable playing in the fourth quarter. You know, the tough get going and all that, but the redskins fold up like cheap suitcase.
I don’t watch the games but rather just glance at the front page the next day to see how bad it was.
So yeah, fire Joe Gibbs
I read that out loud for hubby and he kept nodding and going “yeah” and “that’s right”.
I don’t know anything about football, so I don’t have anything to add. But thanks for commenting on it- I’m trying to get hubby to start his own blog but he’s resisting right now.
