I met with my editors today (I love saying that) for coffee and sandwhiches at the local Panera. It’s the first time I’ve ever been to a Panera, and for the most part I was pleased. The bread was of course delicious, but their soups and cheeses were excellent as well. The coffee was good, but they did mess up my order a bit.
Still, we sat and chatted for 7 hours, flipped through some writing magazines, and I brought home books. I love books. One was Plot and Structure, and the other was a novel for reviewing.
There’s nothing like getting to sit and talk about writing with other writers face to face. I love having the connection to everyone out in blogland, but every once in a while, it’s good to get out in the world. And… talk about… writing. Does that seem a little odd? Talk about writing?
We also discussed promotion a bit, so I think that’s something that we’re all going to be trying to get into for a while now.

There is nothing quite like meeting and talking with like-minded people to renergize you.
I’m with you there. I kind of think that’s why 95% of the blogs I read are related to writing and publishing in some way.
*lol* Btw, you name was brought up. I can’t remember what we were talking about, but I was describing it as “kind of like Travis’ writing”.
Are these people I know via the blog world? Just curious.
I’m not sure. One of them was CJ (on my blogroll), the other is her sister.
