I’m going to apologize for the lack of personality in this post, but I was feeling guilty for not having posted in so long. Plus, having my post about Miss Snark up was starting to depress me. So here’s what’s going on in my literary world.

1. Finished reading Hal Spacejock (the first book). It’s awesome, I highly recommend it. Very funny, and Hal is like a cross between Han Solo and Arthur Dent. (Arthur Dent being from Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy) Although, I completely see why everyone is obsessed with Clunk. He’s just cool. (Lets put it this way, if you like Red Dwarf, it’s like Lister vs. Kryton. Lister’s awesome, but Kryton is just…. well…. more. Very hard to explain.)

2. I was offline for several days due to my First Wedding Anniversary, and when I came back I found out that I won the Hal Spacejock trio! How cool? I went around telling everyone that I won the first book for my anniversary since it arrived the day before my anniversary. Now I get to tell them I won the whole set for my anniversary since the announcement was only a few days later. How cool is that? Thank you, Simon!

By the way, if you’re interested, you can still enter for another drawing at Hal’s Diary . Hurry up and enter, he doesn’t give a closing date.

3. Due to an unfortunate cold, a fortunate gift/prize (see #1), and an ADD husband (not diagnosed, but if you lived with him…), I didn’t really have time to write much. I didn’t even have time to check my email more than once or twice throughout the week. However, Monday I did manage to sneak in a bit of writing. Probably only 2-300 words per WIP (yeah, I know. Who’s ADD now? I can’t concentrate on any project if it means that I’m totally excluding the rest.).

Sunday I spent catching up on blogs (reading them). Today was my first day back at work, and I have to go cook as soon as I finish this. Hopefully I’ll be able to squeeze in a few hundred words more. On the upside, many of the blogging agents I read are heading off to the BEA, and if I can resist the siren call of the Snarkives, I should have a bit more time on my hands to put into creative efforts.

4. I’m thinking of designing a t-shirt that says “Procrastinating is writing”. Maybe later.

Mmm, put me down for one of those t-shirts, will you?

How about one that says, “I’ll procrastinate tomorrow”?

Thanks for the link to Hal’s – I put in a comment.. I’ve never heard of the series before, but if you’re having that much fun with them, they’re definitely worth a look.

  3. Travis Erwin says:

Glad to see you back. Thought maybe you’d gone off to Disney World.

remember how jealous I was when you won that one spacejock book? yeah, triple that, please.

and THANKS for the link! I was really happy and surprised to see it. it will be reciprocated.

    domestika- Will do!

Merry- *snarf* I like it. I was reading one of the blogging agent blogs and was thinking I should make a “Believe” shirt. “I Believe- That Agents Are People Too”.

I laughed my butt off at the opening sentence, but I’ve always had a weird sense of humor. If you “get” brit-coms though, I highly recommend it. Good luck in the contest! (btw, he has another contest monthly where you can win your pick of the three books)

Travis- thanks muchly! If I’d been at Disney, I’d be a bit more cheerful on returning though. Hm… If I did return. Gotta talk to hubby about that. We just went in December, and couldn’t pull off another trip so soon.

Alternate- You’re welcome! I actually felt guilty when I won the set, I kept thinking “maybe I should tell him to send it to A.F. and I’ll just order the books”. Obviously I didn’t, but I did think about it. :)

Thanks! I’m sure it all depends on who you married, but I’m enjoying it! You should try it sometime. If it doesn’t work out, at least you’ll have something interesting to put into your memoir or autobiography when you’re famous.

You make that shirt, and I will buy it! :)

  7. WordVixen says:

Which one? The “procrastinating” or “Believe” one? :) I’ll be happy to make either one. Anyone smelling CafePress?

  8. C.J. Darlington says:

    Procrastinating all the way, baby!

Oh, so that’s what I smelled? I thought it was my dirty socks.
